This page will provide information about life, travel, and research in the Department of Puno, Peru, and surrounding areas of the Lake Titicaca Basin (also see Archaeology Resources for more info). The Department of Puno is a large, ecologically and culturally diverse area that shares its eastern border with Bolivia. Puno includes many areas of natural beauty-- from the high jungle in the north to the shores of Lake Titicaca in its southern and eastern areas. I have had the pleasure of living and working in this region since 1994 and look forward to providing some information to promote interest in its people, natural beauty, and cultural resources.
